The Montana Robe Company Founder, Jenny Thuen, has been a passionate seamstress and entrepreneur for over 20 years. Stemming back to her childhood, Jenny started selling custom-made ballet tutus and costumes at age 12 and later interned at Boston Ballet to help support their costume loads for a summer. After making her own wedding dress, and a good variety of baby blankets and kids clothes for her two kids, Jenny has finally opened up shop to share her talents with the world. Offering plenty of sewing ambition, creative passion, design experience and business expertise to the mountain leisure community, Jenny can be regularly found wherever there’s coffee, snow, fireplaces and inspiration in the great Montana outdoors.
Where do we hope to go? We have already expanded from a one-woman gig to a women-owned small business to meet excited increasing demand. Although it’s still a growing operation now, we are constantly reinvesting in our operations to make continuously better robes for our beloved customers. Throughout our pursuit of developing the most amazing robes in the world, we are dedicated to doing so in ethical, sustainable, transparent and collaborative ways. By donating part of our proceeds to a variety of local non-profits, donating mittens made of scrap robe fabric to local kids in need, and donating at least 2 weeks of our time to helping non-profits in our beautiful Bozeman, Montana area.
